  The breathtaking leaf hills of Viking Valley are home to one of the finest fully automated sporting clay courses in the upper Midwest. It is here that we have designed and laid out a never-ending variety of target presentations to satisfy the beginning shot gunner, as well as the Master Class shooter. The scenery from the hills overlooking the lakes and fields of Viking Valley, make for a shooting experience you will want to repeat. League shooting begins May 1st and goes through August 31st. In addition to the sporting clay course, Viking Valley also offers 5-stand as well as two trap ranges. Clay shooting is open to the public from May through September, by reservation. Each year, the sporting clay course will be shut down by December 1st, unless the weather causes us to close it earlier. We will do our best to keep the 5-stand and trap range open by reservation, for members and their guests. (weather permitting)

The Viking Valley lodge has a large living area, a full kitchen, four bathrooms, a central dining area with a bar and kitchenette, as well as sleeping accommodations for up to 20 people. We book only one party in the lodge at a time, so we reserve for a minimum party of 6 people. From September through December each year, the lodge is available only to members and their guests. From January through August, the lodge is available to any guest that would like to make a reservation. For lodging costs, please contact our office at 218-747-2121.
